Great summer days and wonderful summer nights

Hey people! What's been going on?

I did something really awesome today.  I got to host an hour of radio today, it was so cool!  I made up a play list and in between songs talked about a few random things like my writing and music of course.  I would do it again in a heart beat, it was just such a cool experience.

This week has been turning out quite awesome.  Tuesday night we had a thunderstorm, lightning and all.  I love thunderstorm, I would literally watch one all day if I ever got the chance, I love lightning and just find everything about them so fascinating.  Yesterday I got the call around noon about the radio thing, and as I mentioned I did that today.  Tomorrow is the first night of the Perseids meteor shower, it's supposed to be one of the best in the northern hemisphere and I'm super stoked!  It was the best in 2010, and last year it was a bit of a downer (the moon was full, there for putting off a lot of obstructing light)  It's not supposed to be too horrible this year, though the moon will be bright again it's only in its crescent form, so that'll be good.

You know, I mentioned today to a bunch of people who I don't even know that I'm a writer and that I have a plan that will hopefully get be published by the time I'm eight teen (a tiny hint at my age if you're still wondering/guessing)   Coming back home after the radio show really made me realize that some people are actually looking to me as inspiration...  I don't want to disappoint, do I?  I think doing what I did today really made me realize and finally agree that I need to do this, and well! For what ever fans I may have sakes and my own.

I know last time I posted I mentioned a possibility of posting some of my work.  In fact, I've mentioned that the last two times I have posted, and alas, I'm not sharing anything today.  I'm not even going to say that it may happen the next time I write here, because I don't know if it will and getting peoples hopes up really sucks.

Well I hope everyone else's day/week has gone well, I'm going to try and write.  Though it's late and I'll probably just go to bed.

Have a great weekend (only one more day then we're free!)

Just a normal day

I babysit a lot, in fact, that's how I spent my day today 12-4:30.  I watched four kids and two other kids who were the original fours friends.  They were outside all day in the pool, so I got the house to myself.  Other might think that this would be a perfect time to, I don't know, read?  Or in my case, actually get some writing done?  Nah, my house was a complete mess.  And one of my kids had eaten a whole box of cookies that morning, so you can only imagine what my living room looked like...  for a whole two hours I scrubbed every inch of the front part of my house, excluding the bathroom and my room, because I was just too tired.  Everyone was beautiful and spotless, and I was able to finally sit down.
I love cleaning, it's almost crazy how much I love to clean.  Maybe it's because I get to blast music and kick the kids outside, like I mentioned in my last post, music and dancing are always incorporated into my cleaning.  I like to think that maybe I look graceful as I move to the beat of a song, slow or fast, while I put dishes away.  Though in reality I probably just look too serious (Why so serious?) and just weird.  How ever, I love me my music, and it's just so much fun.  So who can blame me?  I jammed out to my iPod on shuffle today, than I switched to some nice 80's rock with a few top 40 songs mixed in.
I made sandwiches for the kids for lunch, they had sandwiches.  I had a sandwich too, though I wasn't really hungry I had one any ways.  I was having a very productive day, and on days like today I kind of "forget" to eat... It's not good, but I usually can't just NOT eat, so it never works.  I did stay in a pretty good calorie goal today though, so I'm quite proud of myself.
We had tater tots, corn, and sausages for dinner.  It was one of those night, when you kind of just pick up random things from the cupboards and freezer then mix them all together for a makeshift meal.  It wasn't too bad, I love Tater Tots, so I guess it was a pretty awesome dinner.  After dinner the house shook, and not with an earthquake, but with a large rumble of thunder.  Soon enough, dark clouds settled in and all the kids were crowded near the windows watching the epic light show nature was putting on, it was brilliant! I love thunderstorms, always have, always will.
Thunder is still rumbling in the distance, though I'm sure it's almost at a complete stop now.  I did end up getting some writing done, I'll hopefully finish a chapter tonight!  Maybe I'll post a tid bit of my work on my next post,  I'm always so nervous when I let other people read my work.  I have maybe two people that I'm okay with reading anything of mine.

I guess I'll end this now, as all the highlights have my day have been displayed.  Sad, I know, when the highlight of a day includes eating Tater Tots for dinner.  Hahaha.  Only four more days until the Perseid's Meteor shower! I'm so excited, it's always so brilliant.

Hope you all are doing good, have a good few days.  Talk to you all later.

Creating something and hoping it goes some where

Creating a Blog has been on my mind for a few years now, though I realize that since the first day I thought of creating one I have matured significantly, and would now probably be embarrassed if I had created one earlier.  I don't exactly know yet where I want this to go, so my guess is it'll probably be surrounding around the hobbies I have and some other interests of mine.  People may or may not read this, that's fine, I'm okay with looking like a loner who talks to herself on the computer.  And if some one may stumble upon this than I hope they find it interesting, or at least a little different than what other people have to offer.
I'm into music and literature.  I love almost all genres of music ranging from many different types of rap to classical compositions like Beethoven and Bach, it's the same with literature; fairies and goblins to political uprising and serious mysteries, I barely ever turn down a book.  I play guitar, and a little keyboard (when I say a little, I really do mean a little) but I've been playing guitar for almost five years now, I own two acoustics and once upon a time, 3 electrics.  Though I've dwindled that number down to 2.  As of right now I'm reading Fire Starter by Stephen King (who is my all time favourite author) and listening to a band called VersaEmerge (they're quite under rated IMO, but seriously, if you haven't heard of them... Check them out!)
My hobbies include cleaning and singing, usually simultaneously, and writing.  I write fantasy fiction, and I am currently working on a novel that I'm hoping to be 85,000 words long in the end after I'm completely done with it.  As of right now I'm around 5,000 words in... So only 80,000 more to go!  I might occasionally post some of my work here, because it's never to early to build of a fan base.  You never know though.
Finally, just as a little closing sentence,  I'd like to briefly explain the title of this Blog.  Do you know how hard it is to come up with a new title that hasn't already been used?! After being rejected possibly 100 times in a row I was just typing in random things that sounded cool in my head, and that's how this came to be.   As for the title of this post, it was actually thought through, because I am creating something right here that I'm hoping will go some where.  And when I say go some where I mean that I hope to keep this a float, and not have it turn into something that I'll stumble upon in a few years and be depressed by the amount of work put into to make it, but not keep it.

Any who, have a great night.  Happy reading.
