I babysit a lot, in fact, that's how I spent my day today 12-4:30. I watched four kids and two other kids who were the original fours friends. They were outside all day in the pool, so I got the house to myself. Other might think that this would be a perfect time to, I don't know, read? Or in my case, actually get some writing done? Nah, my house was a complete mess. And one of my kids had eaten a whole box of cookies that morning, so you can only imagine what my living room looked like... for a whole two hours I scrubbed every inch of the front part of my house, excluding the bathroom and my room, because I was just too tired. Everyone was beautiful and spotless, and I was able to finally sit down.
I love cleaning, it's almost crazy how much I love to clean. Maybe it's because I get to blast music and kick the kids outside, like I mentioned in my last post, music and dancing are always incorporated into my cleaning. I like to think that maybe I look graceful as I move to the beat of a song, slow or fast, while I put dishes away. Though in reality I probably just look too serious (Why so serious?) and just weird. How ever, I love me my music, and it's just so much fun. So who can blame me? I jammed out to my iPod on shuffle today, than I switched to some nice 80's rock with a few top 40 songs mixed in.
I made sandwiches for the kids for lunch, they had sandwiches. I had a sandwich too, though I wasn't really hungry I had one any ways. I was having a very productive day, and on days like today I kind of "forget" to eat... It's not good, but I usually can't just NOT eat, so it never works. I did stay in a pretty good calorie goal today though, so I'm quite proud of myself.
We had tater tots, corn, and sausages for dinner. It was one of those night, when you kind of just pick up random things from the cupboards and freezer then mix them all together for a makeshift meal. It wasn't too bad, I love Tater Tots, so I guess it was a pretty awesome dinner. After dinner the house shook, and not with an earthquake, but with a large rumble of thunder. Soon enough, dark clouds settled in and all the kids were crowded near the windows watching the epic light show nature was putting on, it was brilliant! I love thunderstorms, always have, always will.
Thunder is still rumbling in the distance, though I'm sure it's almost at a complete stop now. I did end up getting some writing done, I'll hopefully finish a chapter tonight! Maybe I'll post a tid bit of my work on my next post, I'm always so nervous when I let other people read my work. I have maybe two people that I'm okay with reading anything of mine.
I guess I'll end this now, as all the highlights have my day have been displayed. Sad, I know, when the highlight of a day includes eating Tater Tots for dinner. Hahaha. Only four more days until the Perseid's Meteor shower! I'm so excited, it's always so brilliant.
Hope you all are doing good, have a good few days. Talk to you all later.
